Do you like singing, under the shower or even on stage? Do you like epic melodies and dark bass sounds? Would you like to combine both and have a unique experience while singing a cappella gothic songs? Welcome to the Dark Voices workshop!
Hello there, we are Stimmgewalt, a vocal band made of twelve voices and no instruments. We sing and perform metal/gothic/dark songs, with our own repertoire or providing epic backing vocals for other metal bands such as Orphaned Land, Van Canto, Moran Magal or Scardust.
During this workshop, the participants will discover the way we work with a cappella repertoire and have a glimpse on how we produce backing vocals for metal bands. We will warm up together, learn a few songs with several voice groups, practice singing with microphones and backing tracks, and of course have fun and voice out on some powerful melodies!
To participate in this workshop, you don’t need to have experience with singing solo or in a choir. Reading sheet music is not required, but helpful. Basically, you can just come and try – we will learn everything together.

Singst du gerne? Unter der Dusche oder sogar auf Bühnen? Magst du epische Melodien und dunkle Bassklänge? Möchtest du diese verbinden und durch das Singen von A-Cappella-Songs etwas Einzigartiges erleben? Willkommen zum Dark Voices Workshop!
Hallo! Wir sind Stimmgewalt, ein Vokalensemble aus 12 Stimmen, und keine Instrumente! Wir singen und performen düstere Songs aus den Bereichen Metal und Gothic, sowohl als eigene Repertoire, als auch als epischen Chorhintergrund für Szenebands, wie z.B. Orphaned Land, Van Canto, Moran Magal oder Scardust.
Während dieses Workshops werden die Teilnehmer*innen herausfinden, wie wir mit A-Capella-Repertoire arbeiten, und einen Einblick darin erhalten, wie wir Backing Vocals für andere Bands umsetzen. Wir werden uns gemeinsam aufwärmen, einige Lieder in verschiedenen Stimmgruppen erarbeiten, mit Mikrophonen und Backing Tracks singen üben, und natürlich jede Menge Spaß dabei haben, kraftvolle Melodien rauszuhauen!
Um an diesem Workshop teilzunehmen, brauchst du keine Vorerfahrung im Chor- oder Solosingen. Notenlesen ist nicht zwingend nötig, aber hilfreich. Komm einfach vorbei und probiere es aus – wir lernen alles zusammen!
