What better reason to emerge from the underworld than to go watch friends play their hearts out on stage! Especially now my favourite singer @veronicaswiftofficial and my favourite drummer @brianviglione teamed up and conveniently play at my doorstep 😊 as much a pleasure it was to see and hug Brian again, the show itself topped even this. An astronomically skilled ensemble working together like they had known each other from birth delivering ingeniously powerful arrangements with a wide variety of songs sourced from all-things-Jazz over Opera to Rock and Cabaret, including Veronica’s own work. This woman! I can’t even find words to fit her fireballsy performance, holding tension and precision to the max while playfully toying with all her voice could possibly do, from „instrumental“ dueling to warmest softness, channeling Janis Joplin as well as Freddie Mercury. And I don’t need to mention that Brian easily kept tabs on stage presence , adding his unique sound and eerie level of telepathy between the whole band, do I? It might suffice to say that I wasn’t even able to shoot one clear picture of these powerhouses during the whole show (not that I tried to hard because I wouldn’t miss any second). Go and see them play whenever you have the chance! And if not, there’s plenty on YT and Spotify.
